A firm cannot achieve strong results unless it has superb administrative support on a day-to-day basis. The backbone of our firm is our highly qualified staff. They are experienced, hardworking, professional and dedicated to ensuring that each client receives exemplary representation.
Deborah Hughes – Debbie has been with our firm since 1996, having over 30 years of experience in the legal profession. As a paralegal, Debbie’s concentration is primarily in the areas of family law, civil trial litigation and personal injury law.
Erica Jessie – Erica, a Winter Haven native, joined the firm as a clerk and assistant in May of 2016. She has over five years of experience in business management and customer service, and has served as treasurer of Winter Haven Church of God since 2015.
Michele Melton – Michele, a native of Virginia, joined the firm in 2016. After working as a real estate paralegal with law firms in Vero Beach and Naples, she relocated to the Washington, D.C. area and spent 10 years working for Washington, D. C. based real estate attorneys. Now, back in Florida, she brings over 13 years of real estate experience to the firm.
Jessica Perry – Jessica, a Kentucky native, joined the firm as its receptionist in 2016. Now living in Winter Haven, Jessica has over ten years of experience in the customer service and administrative fields, having engaged in various roles from sales to management. She is currently pursuing an Associate of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies.
Teresa Pitts – Teresa, a Polk County native, joined the firm in 1987. She focuses primarily on probate and trust administration, estate planning and guardianships. Prior to joining Sharit, Bunn & Chilton, P.A., Teresa worked in the banking and mortgage lending industry.
Carla Porter – A native of Massachusetts, Carla joined the firm in 2015 and focuses primarily on real estate matters. She assists with all of the firm’s residential real estate closings, working closely with many of the area’s realtors and lenders. Carla brings over a decade of real estate experience to the firm.
Ana Mata-Saldana, a Polk County native, joined the firm as a receptionist in 2018. Ana has over 5 years of experience in customer service with the School Board of Polk County and the Office of the Public Defender for the 10th Judicial Circuit of Florida. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
Joyce Shepherd – Joyce is the firm’s office manager and bookkeeper. Born in Mobile, Alabama, Joyce earned her college degree in Accounting and Computer Programming. She has been with the firm since 1986. Prior to joining our team, Joyce worked in the banking industry, from bookkeeping to branch and executive management.
