Robert C. Chilton, a Winter Haven native and graduate of Winter Haven High School, joined Sharit, Bunn & Chilton, P.A. in 2004. Mr. Chilton graduated from Vanderbilt University, cum laude, in 1999, earned his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2004 and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2005. Mr. Chilton is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He is “AV Rated” by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating granted by that independent publication.
Mr. Chilton’s practice focuses primarily on community association law (homeowners’, condominium and cooperative associations) elder law, civil litigation and banking law. He represents clients throughout Florida including financial institutions, corporate entities, individuals and families.
In addition to practicing law, Mr. Chilton is passionate about his community. He is co-founder of the Society of the Turtle, a Winter Haven running club, and presently serves as Vice Chairperson of the Tenth Judicial Circuit’s Grievance Committee “A”, Counselor of the Willson American Inn of Court and on the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce’s Government Affairs Committee. Mr. Chilton has previously served as treasurer of the Willson American Inn of Court, as Special Magistrate for Polk County, on the board of directors of the Auburndale Chamber of Commerce, as a member of the Florida Bar Small Claims Rules Committee and as a youth soccer coach. He is currently a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven. Mr. Chilton and his family live in Auburndale.
