P. Butz joined the firm of Sharit, Bunn & Chilton, P.A. in 1998.
The Winter Haven, Florida native focuses her practice in the areas of
domestic violence, criminal law and family law. While an assistant state attorney in the Tenth Judicial Circuit, she handled domestic violence crimes, as well as misdemeanor and felony criminal cases.
Mrs. Butz completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida in 1987. She graduated with high honors from Florida State University College of Law in 1990. Mrs. Butz has previously instructed law enforcement officers,
victims assistance groups and health care providers in the areas of
spouse abuse and injunctions for protection. She has also served as a
member of the Domestic Violence Task Force Committee. Mrs. Butz
actively participates in educating various organizations on domestic
violence issues. She is a member of the Tenth Judicial Circuit
Grievance Committee and the First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven. Mrs. Butz has served as a member of the Board of Directors for Heart of Florida Girl Scout Council and Habitat for Humanity of East Polk County, Inc. In addition, she is a member of the Junior League of Greater Winter Haven.
